Flocabulary is all about giving props to organizations that use hip-hop to educate and empower. Hip-Hop Classroom, meet Hip Hop Education (H.H.E.). H.H.E. focuses on encouraging young people to use their voices for positive and social change. The organization offers several unique programs and services designed to “educate, empower and activate” youth, and prepare them to use their knowledge in the future by applying it to their community.
As a matter of fact, in November of 2005, Flocabulary collaborated with H.H.E. at their 3rd annual summit for a live performance at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. It was awesome.
These days, Hip Hop Education (which is based in Washington, D.C.) masterminds charity drives, offers volunteer opportunities, puts on shows for students, and more.
